Congratulations to our winner Lauren Egglestone from
Seneca College School of Flight Technology, based out of
Buttonville Airport in Markham, Ontario. Lauren wins a
one-year membership to the Ninety-Nines, a cash award plus an
individual plaque to display wherever she chooses. Lauren's
name has been added to our ongoing list of previous winners which
include Deborah Peel, Tess Miller, Noriko Date, Christina Lee,
Lauren Boehm, Beverley McConnell, Heather Bradacs, Ingrid Rinaldi,
Lesley Page, Mary Jane Learmonth and Yvonne Tsang. This award
is presented annually to a female pilot who meets the criteria
listed on the application and who has achieved academic excellence
and flight proficiency in her Private Pilot or Commercial Licence,
in the region of the First Canadian Chapter of the 99s. The
award is a special project of the First Canadian Chapter, intended
to promote women in aviation.
