Jane Atkinson-White (Maple Leaf Chapter 99) created the above
Maple Leaf Chapter Logo in 1999. In 2001, Jane created the
99s International
Endowment Fund logo. Jane is pictured below with her aircraft:

"I own a graphic design business, called Atkinson Graphics,
based at my home in the little village of Belmont, Ontario (near
London). The business is about 4 years old, but I've been a designer
for 14 years - first in Toronto and later in London. I give my
clients a visual "face", or image, so that they can attract their
customers and achieve greater success."
Before becoming a pilot myself, I spent hundreds of hours in
the right seat of my Father's 1966 Cessna 150. My Father, Henry
Atkinson, got his license during the early 70s. In 1991 I met Cam
White, now my husband, and he is a pilot also. So, beginning in
1993, I started flying lessons. With a few stops and starts, such as
preparing for a wedding, and starting my own business, I finally
received my private pilot's license in 1995. Now Dad, Cam and
myself, happily share the challenge of owning a 2 seater airplane,
and having 3 pilots in the family. Our airplane - CF OTB, is based
in St. Thomas, Ontario.
About the Maple Leaf Chapter Logo:
The design for our chapter logo incorporates the symbol of
Canada - the red maple leaf, and unites it with aviation by
incorporating the small airplane inside the leaf. The leaf flows
gracefully around the airplane, then along the name of our
Chapter, and ends in a small up-turned curl. The curves and waves
are feminine, and resemble a smoke trail after an airplane in
flight. The other colour blue in the logo represents the sky in
which we fly.
Note: Jane also created the following logo for the
99s International
Endowment Fund! Way to go, Jane! We're lucky to have such
talent within our membership!

In 2002, Jane won the East Canada Section's
Governor Service award for her contributions
to the 99s and to aviation in general.
