Looking back - 2003 or before:

Sue Ehrlander participated in Saint John's Centennial of Flight celebration during the week of Dec. 17th, 2003.  She presented a couple of Air Bear courses.  She is an 99s Endowment Fund Trustee!

Governor Dorothy Berthelet visited with Kim Windsor in St. John's Newfoundland during the summer of 2003.  She also visited Harbour Grace Airport and museum (airfield where pioneer flights across the Atlantic Ocean took place), Gander airport (aviation museum, with special tribute to the Sept. 11th 2001 unexpected arrival of thousands of air travellers..).

In 2003 the Atlantic Chapter (Erna and Marilyn) welcomed the Gold Cup Air Rally participants when they arrived at the terminus in PEI.

The 99s East Canada Section helped the Canadian Aviation Historical Society sponsor the Saint John plaques (see our Photo album) installed in the memory of Daphne Paterson, pioneer pilot.  Sue Ehrlander attended the ceremony.

In 2001, Atlantic Chapter again won the East Canada Section's Annual Proficiency Training (APT) award!  Way to go!

In 2001, Kim welcomed Sue Ramsey to Newfoundland and helped Sue enjoy her flying vacation.

In 2000, Kim flew into Harbour Grace, to recognize Amelia Earhart's visit from 70 years ago.  She was also featured in the 99s News.

A plaque marks the coastal spot in Cape Breton, NS, where famous aviatrix Beryl Markham landed.

A plaque (and associated tree) was put in place by the Atlantic Chapter in Summerside PEI, as part of the 1997 COPA convention.
