To encourage 99s to remain "current" in terms of
flying skills, East Canada Section annually presents an "APT" (Annual
Proficiency Training) Award to the Chapter who qualifies as the most
active Chapter. This award is also known by the Schemerhorn Award
(in honour of Betty Jane Schemerhorn who donated the award). Each qualifying pilot must complete the APT form each year and submit it to their Chapter APT Coordinator, who will annually submit the Chapter's results to the East Canada Section APT Coordinator. The winner each year is announced at the Spring Section Meeting. 2003 and 2002 Winner: Maple Leaf Chapter 2001 APT Award Winner: Atlantic Chapter
